Nate attended Utah State University on a University Club Scholarship where he graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Political Science and minors in Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, and Spanish. He received his Juris Doctorate from the J. Rueben Clark School of Law where he was active in and served as vice-president of the Federalist Society. Nate is also fluent in Spanish.
Nate practiced law for the firm of Perry, Malmberg, and Perry in Logan, Utah for a short time before accepting an offer to work as a Guardian ad Litem representing abused and neglected children. He left that position in 2006 to open up his own solo practice. He and Attorney Scott Wilding formed Jeppsen & Wilding in 2009.
Nate’s current main areas of practice include Criminal Defense, DUI defense, Divorce & Family Law, Bankruptcy, Personal Injury, Immigration, and Property, Water & Land Use. He also practices in the areas of Business, Civil Litigation, Estates & Probate.
Nate has deep family ties to Western Wyoming. His wife’s family currently own and maintain multi-generational construction companies based in Rock Springs. His sister also played volleyball for Western Wyoming Community College. Nate grew up on a family ranch in Northern Utah and he loves the wide open spaces and the spirit of independence, determination, and freedom found here. He understands and is committed to meeting the legal needs of this unique area.
Nate is active in Scouting and his church and enjoys hunting, fishing, horses, pack trips sports, politics, ranching, and spending time with his wife and little boy. His wife is a skilled horse trainer and breeder who was born in Rock Springs and grew up on ranches in Wyoming, Idaho, and Oregon.
